Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home which has a combined gross family earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and click here R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
